By combining the rich tones of premium composite decking, a custom insulated pergola, and sleek frameless glass balustrading, we created a highly functional and beautiful entertaining space tailored perfectly to the relaxed Shire lifestyle.

To ensure the space could be enjoyed year-round, we constructed an insulated pergola over the main entertaining zone. This clean, modern structure provides essential shade during the peak of summer and protects against the elements, allowing for comfortable outdoor dining and relaxation in any weather.

Beneath the pergola and flowing out toward the pool is the premium Ekodeck composite decking in the colour ‘Leatherwood’. This material was selected to bring a warm, natural timber aesthetic to the space without the constant need for oiling, sanding, or staining. It is incredibly durable and specifically engineered to handle the harsh Sydney sun and wet poolside conditions.

The decking transitions seamlessly into custom, wide-set stairs featuring built-in downlights, courtesy of our partners at Stewart Outdoor Entertainment Group. This clever lighting addition ensures the space is just as breathtaking, safe, and functional at night as it is during the day.

Surrounding the pool, we installed frameless glass balustrading. This was a crucial design choice to ensure strict pool safety and compliance without sacrificing the view.
